To-Do List for the Classed Black Person
Hello, my sweet dear.
Maybe you already know by now, but you have been misled.
You have also been killed.
The kind of upbringing you had was one that was meant to leave you unaware, self-hating, destructive, dominant toward your own people, and without a spiritual connection.
The comforts you enjoyed up until now were only there to entice you into betraying yourself and your people.
At some point in my journey toward more radicalism, I started to feel like I had no place there, and like I wouldn’t be helpful in an actual fight, because I was too soft and flexible. I didn’t wanna hurt a fly, couldn’t advocate for myself well, and didn’t know how to speak up. The disordered anxiety I’d picked was to blame for this, I think.
- Unlearn domination & Learn community
- Unlearn individualism and the nuclear family & learn the village
- Lose your false self and Regain a true self
- Grieve the child inside of you who was killed and Rebirth yourself
- Grieve some more. Embrace this discomfort & let it change you.
Reconnect with your anger. Use that anger as energy to complete radical tasks. From speaking your mind to using violent force against the enemy.
- Unlearn elitism and perfectionism & practice holistic acceptance of yourself and others who community-worthy.
- If you learned the fawn/freeze responses, learn how to use them strategically, not automatically. Temporarily fawning against the enemy might be a great short-term strategy (same day) if u plan to kill that enemy once their guard is down. we do not have to be honorable against colonizers.
- If you only know the fawn/freeze responses, build the fight and flight responses by practicing firmness & discernment in everyday life. Remember that the enemy will always choose fight against you.
- Unlearn the need for constant soothing & Embrace discomfort
- Unlearn convenience & Embrace patience
And all of this, not because we don't deserve comfort, convenience, soothing, and so on, but because these desires are exploited in order to control us; trick us into relying on a very evil scheme. So we might have to wait a while to really enjoy those things until we are alone with ourselves, among each other who will actually view our shared humanity.
